When Kim told me that Mark proposed to her while they were playing a round of putt-putt golf, I knew we would be fast friends! Mini golf is something my husband, Scott, and I also really enjoy and I love when my CCP Couples share the same interests as us! Kim also told me that at the end of their first date, Mark dipped her back and kissed her goodnight (a first for her)! Talk about romantic!! . . .Read More
I feel like I have such a special connection to Carole and Mark and I had so much fun exploring Belle Isle with them for their engagement session! Last year, I had the honor of photographing Mark's daughter, Melissa's, wedding day and when Mark, Carole, and I met up this year to grab coffee and talk wedding photography, I learned exactly how Mark proposed. . .Read More
When Tina told me that she loves the fall and pumpkin everything, I knew that we would be instant friends! Coincidence or not, the fall season also became the backdrop to Zach's proposal last September! I have not been to Grand Rapids in several years, but when I got asked to photograph Carolann and Stu's engagement session in downtown GR I jumped at the chance. For those of you like me who haven't been to GR in a while or for those of you that have never been, let me refresh your memory with how b-e-a-utiful the city is! You always hear about urban hot spots like New York or Los Angeles or Chicago, but after this session I am stumped as to why this great Michigan city doesn't make the cut. I am generally more of a nature lover and love being in the outdoors when it comes to capturing engagement sessions, but Grand Rapids provided a wonderful urban back drop for Carolann and Stu.
Carolann and Stu are the cutest couple I swear and are so down to earth. Sometimes a lot of brides know exactly what they want when it comes to engagement portraits, Carolann knew what she wanted but also let me be really creative and when something caught my eye as we were walking, both her and Stu were up for capturing it. Stay tuned to see images from their June 22nd wedding!
