I had a serious problem today guys!! It was SO hard to choose just a 120 images for the blog from Natalie and Derek's wedding day because everything was so stinkin' UH-mazing!! I was so honored to be not only their wedding photographer, but that I got to celebrate alongside two of our very dear friends on one of the most magical days!!
Scott and Derek were roommates and fraternity brothers back in college (you'll see their fraternity house featured during portraits because it holds so many good memories for all of us!), and Derek has been one of our very best friends ever since! When we met Natalie, I knew right away that she was the perfect fit for our sweet friend, Derek. Natalie has such a giving heart and she shares it with everyone around her. She also loves to laugh, and it is seriously the cutest thing when these two make each other laugh! I loved spending time with both Natalie & Derek at their engagement session and although all my couples feel more like friends than clients, these two hold a very special place in my heart!

Derek was so emotional in the anticipation of seeing Natalie on their wedding day, that even before they opened the church doors to let her in, he started to cry. He was overflowing with joy at just the THOUGHT of seeing his future wife and getting to marry her! (Be still my little heart!) Natalie is one of those people you just can't help but love. She is so caring, genuine, and is always laughing. But I think the thing I love most about this incredible couple is the way they love each other!⠀

Derek has a way of looking at Natalie with so much love that it's hard not to believe in soul mates. He adores her and he waited a long time to find her, and I am so so glad that he found Natalie! Beyond their love for each other, Derek & Natalie have big hearts for their family and friends! Being in a room with all these people not only as their wedding photographer but also as their close friend, was such an honor.
Derek & Natalie, words can hardly describe how I feel having been your wedding photographer! Thank you so much for inviting me in to this sacred time in your relationship and for allowing me to document all of the genuine, tearful, and head-thrown-back laughs throughout your special day. It will be a day I always remember and I wish you both nothing but love and many more amazing adventures in your life together!
