My heart is so full, today, as I looked for blog images to share from Erin and Dmitri's beautiful wedding day which took place at the Belle Isle Casino in Detroit, MI! Not only was Erin SUCH a gorgeous bride, she was one of the happiest brides I’ve ever seen as well!⠀

Erin + Dmitri are one of those unique couples who truly wanted to have a celebration that represented them and they didn't feel pressure to conform to any of the typical wedding traditions out there - which I loved because I am a FIRM believer in having a wedding day that's about more than just repeated traditions! Their approach to a simple, elegant, and minimal event was refreshing for me to photograph because it really was all about them, their family and friends, and their genuine love for each other.⠀

Looking back on their amazing wedding day makes me sooooo happy not only because these two are sweet, wonderful, and just badasses, but because Erin is actually my cousin, and I couldn't be happier that she found someone as special as Dmitri to spend the rest of her life with! Congrats, again, Erin and Dmitri!
